I am considering buying a JD 850 4wd that currently has Ag tires on it. I checked w/ the local JD dealer and he quoted me a price of $1150 for new tires and rims to convert it over to turf tires (not counting mounting and installation). My questions are:

1. Could I put industrial R4 tires on the rims that have the ag tires on now? If so what size? The dealer said there is no JD recommended size for the rims.

2.How difficult is it to sell used tractor tires and rims? (in other words, is there a market for used and what could I expect to get for the tires and rims? The tires are not the original and are about 80% tread)

Thanks for any help anyone can give me on this. The purchase of the tractor is going to be based on the how expensive it's going to be to convert the tractor over to either turf or R4 tires. Thanks again!

I have a JD850 with turf tires. I would consider trading my wheels and tires for the ag wheels and tires. Please let me know if you are interested. ....

Thanks for the interest. I ended up buying a JD855 with the turf tires already installed.
